I should also mention that this is an aggregate IFR that does not take into account important factors such as gender and comorbidities. An individual 74yo's risk of death could be higher or lower, it is hard to be perfectly precise at this point
I’m thinking about how Wilson got super sick with the 1918 flu during the Paris Peace Conference. Although that flu actually targeted the younger crowd. If I remember correctly Wilson never really came back and had a stoke a year or so later.
