This is very silly. The sample is thrice-selected: a single company, that tested volunteers, and only retested a small subset. A recent large-scale random serosurvey in Tokyo found rates of infection 100x lower than thishttps://twitter.com/MLevitt_NP2013/status/1308979101215096834 …

If representative as it seems, this antibody survey of 1,877 random healthy people in Japan is a total game-changing event. Read conclusion below: immunity without illness or death! The biggest enemy of scientific enquiry is confirmation bias - if you immediately believe things that support your argument you are bound to be wrong quite a lot

Seems scepticism is lacking in certain quarters of scientific enquiry these days.

Non scientist logic: Taiwanese people eat Taiwanese food and have low cases so it must be the food they eat, surely?

Other issues w/ study: 1. Use of rapid lateral flow assay—these assays are prone to false pos. 2. Those with repeat testing (around 1 month apart) had seroconversion of 21.4%, but seroreversion of 12.2%. Such a high rate of antibody loss in such a short time = false pos.

Very true. Does your response suffer similarly? Same company but disparate offices; rapid waning of ABs - seems enough of interest there to file under "more data required" rather than identify the major qualifications and then ignore?
