This article is using the straw man “false positive” rate, which is admittedly low. But we aren’t screaming about false positives, we are screaming about overcycling amplification that by design picks up 40-90% too many “positives” who are not sick or contagious. Stop lying.

That being said, his point is that the test that picks up TOO MANY TRUE POSITIVES, which is quite different to a test with too many false positives as many are currently suggesting

Sure, but it's certainly not the 90% that's being cited based on some nonsense numbers in a blog, and is a pretty different problem
