I am lost into which one is the first question. Getting a proper IFR estimations is important because the death toll is heavily sensitive to it; therefore to estimate the burden you have to know it.
It's hugely variable by country and even areas within that country, so I'm not sure the question makes sense. Where I live we have a brilliant balance imo

Sadly not my experience here. Lockdown for 6 months. A trajectory that's going very well into the 1600+/million with an economic decline of 17% of GDP with the worst impact on the poorest. Pretty much a nightmare.

On a personal note I have seen by photo cause as I am not allowed to travel, my grandpa 90yo to age 10 years in 6 months. When you see that, you realize how poor the management had been.
