I’ve been banging on about this since March. What do people mean when they say “we just need to shield the vulnerable and elderly”?! What specifically is the plan!?

They mean condemning the vulnerable and elderly to a life of fear and isolation, stuck in permanent quarantine for the rest of their natural lives. Why hasn’t anyone asked the vulnerable or elderly what they want?

So instead we just condemn everybody to a life of fear and isolation, stuck in permanent quarantine for the rest of their natural lives. If we can lock down the world, we can rather lock down a small portion while the rest of us make money to care for that portion even better

Presenting it as a choice between those two options is a ridiculous false dichotomy, and really a waste of everybody's timehttps://medium.com/@gidmk/the-false-dichotomies-of-covid-19-acec8541d052 …
