Something I've been thinking a lot - I'm quite optimistic that we will have *a* vaccine that has passed the minimum safety checks by early next year I doubt that this will mean we're 'back to normal'

What would be the new normal anyway?

The aspect of that complexity I find most interesting is whether the rules will differ based on vaccination status. Will there be places (workplaces, schools, etc.) that deny entry to unvaccinated individuals? That could result in some strange social dynamics.

I think it's the combination of adequate rapid testing and an adequate vaccine that will get us 80% back to normal sometime in spring or summer.
