Yes. I have asked several experts to estimate what the IFR today would be for the 1918 H1N1 pandemic, given antibiotics and anti-nflammatories that were not available in 1918 No takers, so far.

I would also like to hear the estimate for CoVid set in 1918. No AI to refine protein mapping. No internet to propel mask knowledge from Czech Republic to USA. No Dr. intranet to share latest and greatest knowledge on proning, etc. No steroids (Dexamethasone, 1958).

Excuse me, but 1968 was 52 years ago. No offense meant. And yes, it would be a tragedy. Sadly, we are close to that mortality figure worldwide, though the world's population was only 3.534 billion - now 7.8 billion so comparable deaths would be 2.21 million. Not good.
