If you ever want to be horrified at the human impact of bad science, Caster Semenya is a chilling example The IAAF have NEVER DEMONSTRATED that this is scientifically sound, but it doesn't matter because they have several p-values <0.05 🤷‍♂️https://twitter.com/chasestrangio/status/1303419880507682816 …

It turns out that all you need to do to convince a court that something is true is throw t-tests at a wall until something sticks

HEALTH nerd should really be aware of the affects of testosterone on a body. No. She should not compete with women. She is in sports only because of her massive and unfair advantage. She is not doing figure skating. She is doing a sport where testosterone is an advantage.

Most top athletes are born with “unfair” biological advantages, that’s just part of sports

There is no human rights law which says that just anyone who wants can compete in women's sports. If you don't have a female body, shaped by female hormone levels, you just have to chose another career. There is a reason trans men do not flock to compete with males.

Even if she takes medication to lower her testosterone she will have an advantage no woman can compete with. testosterone has already given her huge lungs in comparison with women. Bones, heart, muscles. This is why trans women flock to women's sports. The great unfair advantage.

Right, which is why, since 2004 when it became possible, not a since trans woman has ever completed in the Olympics. Or why less than a fraction of 0.1% of international women's titles are held by trans women 🤔

The replies are awful. Professional sports are full of people with "natural advantages" - that's mostly how people become top-tier professional athletes. We don't ban tall people from basketball. Why is she being targeted? (Oh, wait. I know why.)

She’s not the only one affected the other two medalists at the last Olympic 800m have also been affected. I feel very sorry for her. I’m not sure I know what you reason why is.
