Are you implying immunity has to be permanent to call it "herd immunity"? Because that would disqualify most, if not all, vaccinations, which wane in efficacy over time and also tend to fail on exposure to high dose. Immunity is not a all or nothing concept.

Herd immunity through vaccination is a somewhat nuanced subject, but it is very clearly incorrect to imply that a pandemic transforming into an endemic disease would classify. You're also wrong about vaccines
