Well, that’s true, but not necessarily entirely true. If ignore the relative shares of the older demographics, and you compare the change in the share of the younger demographics (whose rate of hospitalization presumably hasn’t changed), the effect you noted...

I did a very rough calculation here - looks like of hospitalized patients, in Mar/Apri <40 years made up ~4% compared to ~20% now Big difference!
