Oh I suspect many people would cheerfully say a lot of things, but I suspect they'd be rather less happy about actually giving COVID-19 to their 80-year-old parents when push came to shove

The curious thing is that, every time I read someone suggesting “expose the young to protect the old” it stops there and seems a little short on practicalities. Who provides care to “the old”, sells groceries to “the old”, transports “the old”, lives with “the old”...?

Oh I can put myself in your shoes but only long enough to feel sorry for you. If you really only value your liberty at the expense of the life and liberty of others then I feel sorry for you. Honestly...if humans had been more cooperative and let the women be in charge? Better.

Always find arguments like this so odd. Hitler had broad popular support in large parts of the US prior to Japan forcing their hand to enter the war, and the vast majority of Germany's defeat was down to Russia in WW2

In fact, Hitler famously based his eugenics strategy on one of the most long-running and horrific programs in the world, which was run by the State of California and continued until well past the second world warhttps://www.theguardian.com/uk/2004/feb/06/race.usa …
