A short list of degrees that I've seen offered in pseudoscience: - chiropractic - naturopathy - acupuncture - homeopathy Any other examples?https://twitter.com/ProfMattFox/status/1299804766713905155 …

There are also things like osteopathy and TCM which vary from extreme pseudoscience degrees in one place to mostly legitimate but with a soupçon of BS elsewhere

TCM is mostly nonsense, what kinds of things are you thinking of with that that are 'mostly legit'?

There are some places esp in China that offer TCM degrees that meld science with the pseudoscience. A bit like DO in the US - they do anatomy, pharmacology, and qi 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I was wondering about the legitimacy of osteopathy...

In the US a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) is as legitimate as an MD. Their residencies are the same now & a lot of OMS take Step like the MS do. The idea they're less legitimate bc the curriculum has OMM is ridiculous. Most DOs are amazing scientists & some MDs espouse psuedoscience

I’ve a GP that seems really smart but also is into a bit of homeopathy. Would you rule them out based on that?
