Honestly I think the determination of race is a fairly fundamental flaw regardless. The dataset isn't good enough to do this analysis, size doesn't really fix that issue
Potentially less accurate for the patient/newborn race. In some work leading up to this https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1753-6405.2010.00523.x … colleagues found that ethnicity may be recorded by how a patient looks, not following protocol (ie asking them).
And (I'm not going to say last point), but SES is estimated from all sorts of noisy proxies (e.g., neighbourhood!)
