On the biggest trial, you say there was no difference at six months. But it was a crossover design - each group took a placebo dose and an active dose, one at the start and one five weeks later. After 5 weeks, it was effectively one big group. See the excerpted text in the pic.pic.twitter.com/sIQViXonPo

True, I should amend the blog. There were no differences in the two groups prior to crossover and after that nothing that couldn't be explained by regression to the mean

Interesting. Did the studies only look at them as limitied dose cures or did any look at regular treatment schedules like antidepressants? Also, did the recent studies couple it with therapy sessions? 'Revelation' euphoria seems like it would pair well during guided counselling

Thanks. Tweaked my interest as this was announced a day or so back. Disheartening that, so far, research is not encouraging. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/four-terminally-ill-canadians-get-special-exemption-to-use-psychedelic-therapy-1.5051357 …

Actually, the research is very encouraging.
@GidMK's uninformed and disingenuous portrayal of the research is what is disheartening. His article is just a play for social media attention. - Show replies
