True, it's only useful insofar as the sample remains constant. If they take the frozen samples in the same way over time, I'd say that's useful

I don't see how they'd keep sample same. They're just asking clinical labs to run what they have from a given location and samples are from patients which shift all the time.

Do they shift all the time? We've done some similar work in the diabetes space and the sample remains quite stable over time. Obviously, that might not be the same in a pandemic (people's behaviour has changed dramatically), but it's not unreasonable imo
