Extremely worrying. 60 days post-COVID-19: "This study found that in patients who had recovered from COVID-19, 87.4% reported persistence of at least 1 symptom" @BillHanage @nataliexdean https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2768351 …pic.twitter.com/PVALQPMuqw

However, caution about the results: - small sample (n=173) - no control group - may be common post-pneumonia - hard to definitively tie back to COVID-19

Wow, the "caution" should be in the same sentence as your Panic Porn observation that is being retweeted and not this "however" part. Typical MSM report.

I’ve seen WAY too many anecdotal reports across my social networks to feel too much caution about this study. And the symptoms are not pulmonary, but nervous system, digestive, and circulatory. These dont happen with pneumonia that i am awarenof.

Weren’t all of these folks hospitalized? Maybe a more severely affected cohort to begin with. I would love to see a quantitative work up of high level athletes who were infected. They often have measures of strength, endurance, speed, etc on file to compare to current state.

However, caution about the results: - There’s even a considerable proportion of “mild” cases with long lasting symptoms. - lack of choices: there are so many symptoms not described here not common post pneumonia (second time loss of taste? Memory loss?...) - definitely COVID-19

We forgot overhyping and overfocusing, dwelling on symptoms they’d normally ignore. Side effects of treatments. Secondary gain.

I saw an article that described an unusual feature of C19. Patients presenting at ED, appearing relatively ok, but with O2 sats in mid 80s...they're suffering hypoxemia. These patients suffered long spells of post recovery fatigue.
