3/n The problem is twofold: 1) How much has government action impacted mental health? 2) How much would the government NOT taking action impact mental health?
Do they, or do they suffer primarily because of the pandemic? Your contention is that everything is entirely because of government action, but as I've pointed out that's not been proven in the slightest

Loneliness and stress are huge factors on mental health, both exacerbated by lockdown. Purely anecdotally of course but my mental health has been far more affected by lockdown and stress of work/home schooling etc than worries about covid 19 itself.

Why do you think the Vic government announced a $24m mental health package today for those in the lockdown suburbs? Because they know it causes mental health issues.
