Interested in published research looking at long-term impacts of COVID. Any links?

Surprisingly few studies so far. Can’t find any on lung function or PTSD, but 1 on acute kidney injury -> https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.05.04.20090944v1 …

Thanks! Yes I could only find a scant few studies as well. Even this one only measured function until recovery, although very worrying that nearly half of patients had an acute kidney injury and of those half still had AKI on discharge 😬

we've been keeping an eye out as long-term sequelae impacts of infectious diseases an area we're working in (mainly Ebola and Chikungunya). Haven't seen much at all. Took over a year after outbreak for Ebola sequelae data to start coming out

That's depressing, but I suspect the COVID data will be out much more quickly. Something like 25k papers already published on COVID

If you could make a nice systematic review... ;) I have seen a kot of stuff that suggests we should really, really do this research, for example for fertility, long term lung function/vo2max etc.

That sounded like classic IT recruiting: looking for someone with 5 years experience of a product released 2 years ago.

The best I did was 3 studies: 1. Follow-up Chest CT findings from discharged patients with severe COVID-19: an 83-day observational study https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-27359/latest.pdf … 2. Clinical characteristics of pneumonia patients of long courses infected with SARS-CoV-2 https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-24743/latest.pdf …
