The answer is somewhere between "no" and "no but it's complicated"https://www.vox.com/2014/7/17/5902987/stretching-exercise-science-injuries …
Oooo, just like protein powder. I love how much of the stuff I was taught when I first started going to the gym is basically just...not true
*puts down the shake* wait what is the lie about protein powder
Long story short - it depends who you are. If you're lifting every day and having trouble eating enough eggs, protein powder is great. If you're 90%+ of the people who buy the stuff, it's probably a waste of timehttps://medium.com/@gidmk/protein-powder-is-probably-a-waste-of-time-e7bf0e2d67f …
ah the lie being "protein powder will magically give you muscles" ...fair enough. I just see it as food. Do you want more protein in your diet? Then eat food with protein, such as chicken or tofu or protein powder. *picks shake back up again*
Yeh pretty much. At a certain point it gets hard to eat more eggs. That being said, every person attending the gym has a protein powder, which is hella dumb
I went from a 30kg deadlift to 120kg without ever touching a protein powder or making any specific changes to my diet. Probably going to have to start steaking more soon tho
I need to make a specific effort to eat enough protein, or else I'd subsist entirely on cookies and beer
Definitely the wrong take. Move near a good Korean fried chicken place, you'll get enough protein to last you a lifetime
I have to say, one of the things that has made months of quarantine tolerable is ready access to takeout Korean fried chicken. Also soup dumplings.
