George Floyd got murdered at May 25. Didn't the protests started 1 or 2 days after that? That would be already 14 days. Given that incubation time is on average around 5 days and given the lag until infected go getting tested and getting the results, we should see the effect now.

A few officers who were on duty at the protests have already tested postitive. But yeah, there was probably a lot of community spread going on during the protests.
