There are a few weird things in there. Their KM curves in particular look wonky

Interesting. Some things I find hard to believe: > three quarters of people having fever at baseline, and the baseline median temp being 36.6 (and upper end of IQR 37.0)? A lot of the whole-study characteristic averages fall outside the range of the constituent group averages

Interestingly it seems to be universally things that got added between the preprint and the actual paper that show impossible irregularities. Data on the run?

Median pulse at baseline in HCQ group was 91 Median pulse at baseline in non-HCQ group was 92 Overall median was 89?

Median res rate at baseline in HCQ group was 25 Median res rate at baseline in non-HCQ group was 21 Overall median was 20? (with a bizarrely narrow IQR)

Well, the numbers in the preprint KM curves are slightly wrong, but they also imply that not a single person was discharged during this study. The only "censoring" there was for death - that's a problem

It's not an entirely uncommon mistake tho - people often forget to censor for non-death outcomes. Makes the KM curves worthless, but it's not in and of itself proof of malfeasance
