Comprehensive investigation by @MelissaLDavey on Surgisphere and That Hydroxychloroquine Study
Bottom line? Flawed data and "almost certainly a scam" https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/jun/03/covid-19-surgisphere-who-world-health-organization-hydroxychloroquine?__twitter_impression=true …

Worth noting that while this is an astonishing story of scientific misconduct, the best evidence we have excluding this study still suggests that hydroxychloroquine doesn't work for COVID-19

We still need bigger RCTs to be sure, but if you go by current best evidence it's quite likely that HCQ has either minimal or no benefit

And for those politicizing a drug, all I can say is that it's very silly and you should stop it

Question: shouldn’t someone have researched the company before accepting their study as factual ?
-
Yes. That is why peer review is garbage. It's literally just like 3 professors reviewing something for free with a few days work for a few hours a day. It is nothing compared to what happens after publication.

Lancet...Hmm... Where have I heard that name before? Oh, it's that organization Socialists love to claim as support for so called "Studies" the Socialist claim it proves U.S.A. should have socialized medical system while they only show the abstract part that only has assertions.
