Why are they nice? Why a treat? Examine your definitions. I’d say a fresh peach is a treat. A home grown salad is just as nice. It’s a question of values.

Reminds me of this. Somebody told me they had read that nature exposure often increases wellbeing. So they went for walks in the forest. Monitoring their wellbeing closely. Did not notice any increase in wellbeing. Why? Is the science they had read wrong?

I don't think so. I think that they were so focused on "optimizing" their welfare that they did not really get any exposure to nature. Their perception was focused on monitoring their wellbeing.
