There Is No Evidence Lockdowns Saved Lives. It Is Indisputable They Caused Great Harm. A good short read by a US statistician who prefers facts over assertion and moralising.https://wmbriggs.com/post/30833/

Adam, this analysis is not rigorous or thorough. At Oxford we are doing systematic analysis of country policies. Our findings, undergoing peer review, are that policy strictness *does* have an impact on death rates. (our data on policy measures: http://bsg.ox.ac.uk/covidtracker )

I do look fwd to reading it. Happy to be convinced otherwise. I hope the benefit is big enough to justify economic collapse though.

Where's the evidence that lockdowns caused greater economic damage?

Time may certainly tell. I say may, because at this point people may be too anchored to their biases for reality to matter.

There's certainly been some discussion of Sweden vs other Nordic countries. IIRC the Swedish economy appears to be *almost* as slowed down as its neighbours, or to at least have still taken a considerable hit.

Other related question is where is evidence that lockdowns cause greater [insert medical problem here]? Mainly wondering about the MH question. Please..not saying there are not MH consequences but there is emerging data of MH of the death and disease in hot spots.
