What you're seeing with schools generally is experts very cautiously making recommendations based on extremely incomplete data, and fools with no idea what they're talking about taking that and using it politically

There is now reasonably good evidence, in my opinion, that reopening schools probably doesn't pose a huge risk That doesn't mean it poses NO risk It doesn't even mean that it DOESN'T pose a huge risk. Just that it's probably not so bad
