@LeaMerone and I meta-analysed published estimates of IFR in the population and got about 0.75% - I'd say that's looking more and more likely
Younger populations maybe as low as 0.5%, some places could be as high as 1.2%
Either way, that's a big number

Is it known whether antibodies to the other betacoronaviruses exhibit any cross immunity to COVID-19? I’d read an article recently that seemed to suggest mild cross immunity, but I don’t know of any studies on the matter.

Herd immunity will take a while and a heavy toll, but I would think some immunity might be had that might significantly mitigate the damage if more people were exposed to HKU1 & OC43, provided there was some cross immune response.
