The strategy is not heard immunity. Why do you guys keep on repeating that? The strategy is just to flatten the curve as much as we can with a strategy that's sustainable. To make sure that our hospitals don't get overrun. So that everyone who needs it get the care they need
This conversation got away from me a bit, but I think it's worth noting that even at 30% immune you don't get much of a dent in future outbreaks. Reff = 3-(0.3*3) = 2.1, still high enough to cause a massive outbreak

Agreed. Regarding not using herd immunity as a strategy, their argument is: "If we wanted to achieve herd immunity we would have done nothing and let coronavirus run rampant through society." https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2020/04/28/coronavirus-covid-19-sweden-anders-tegnell-herd-immunity/3031536001/ …

But that makes no sense! If you DID want to achieve herd immunity, you would try to keep transmission at rates that the HC can handle, and keep the cases stable with no actions to reduce it further. "The amount of cases has been stable for the last two-to-three weeks"
