I can’t decide if the cubic curve is worse that the ever-increasing exponentials that “predicted” over 7 billion cases, or if their both equally bad.

Once in a presentation I plotted lines for 25 randomly selected people's CD4 counts over time and it was an unreadable wild mess, so then I showed the same thing with smoothed curves which made an even bigger mess, with the only point being that CD4 counts over time are a mess.
