What is interesting and taken into account is how fast flu, RSV and other colds just disappeared over the past month when kids stayed home. If you can correlate other respiratory viruses with COVID it might be higher than we think.
Definitely true, but the challenge is disentangling the evidence of schools from everything else. I've also heard that some evidence is coming suggesting that transmission dynamics are actually different child->child than adult->adult for COVID
Does there really need to be a one size fits all approach? I mean, young children of healthcare workers may need to physically be in school, but maybe others should learn online?
Nope! I think the authors were pretty clear that innovative strategies like that might be our best bet tbh
