One of the things the whole #Masks debate has shown starkly is how little people want to engage with uncertainty It can't be "we don't really know if they help" Everyone feverishly wants a sure yes/no

The reality is that the evidence is hugely equivocal, and indicates at best a minimal benefit from masks But because there's some possibility, maybe wear a mask Not an answer most people want to hear

Your cloth mask ~may~ provide some protection for others from infection Your front door definitely will Stay at home, stay safe 👍

Oh, also, the other thing that's interesting to watch is everyone knowing for sure that ~they~ are an exception to the rule even though evidence shows they probably won't be

i presume you are referring to how most people won't wear the mask consistently or appropriately based on most studies? Wouldn't it be fair to at least say most other studies weren't conducted when people were INSANELY aware of the threat of a virus that lead to a pandemic?

I grant people may still completely use mask inappropriately, but I do think there is some compelling reason to think people will comply now compared to a flu study, since this is 10x (possibly more) deadly? I am more pro-mask, but curious your take on this potential
