Japan did NONE of this. I think we're on the brink of an explosion in cases, but we had a longer fuse than other countries. The only thing we did is that a lot of people (not all) are wearing masks. We may be an outlier, or not, but you can't cherry pick the data like that.
I never included Japan in "Asia". Some Asian countries have done a truly woeful job, some a good one.

1st tweet, the one this whole thread is answering to: "We know what countries in Asia did to control their outbreaks—aggressive testing, contact tracing, self-isolation and social distancing. Mask wearing was incidental" If countries in Asia means "not Japan", good.
