"Masks stop respiratory droplets sometimes!" is a ridiculous exercise in surrogate outcomes
We KNOW that masks are unlikely to prevent community acquired infections. THAT'S what we care about, not some statistics on particulate movement #COVID19
Except, somehow that's not what the evidence shows. Often reality is extremely counterintuitive

What evidence? There are zero studies of mass population use of masks. There is evidence right in front of you, from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and even Czech Republic that general population use of masks is part of solution.

Also, every virus is different, something the 'experts' seem to have trouble with. This isn't Ebola, isn't SARS, isn't Measles. We don't even fully understand it's transmission characteristics ( see..asymptomatic transmission..). Studies on other pathogens are not really useful
