Do I understand correctly: modelling the effect of school closures on transmission is inconsistent, but the public think it's a good idea so we should implement it to improve public confidence in the pandemic response & allow us to move on to other important topics?

What about people pulled out of the workforce to care for children not at school? Not necessarily the effect on virus spread, but on the ability to meet health and other critical needs in the community? I don't have a good understanding of who would be taken out of the workforce.

yes, huge problem. estimates are between 20-30% of nursing staff in hospitals have school-aged kids
