I cannot undertand why Morrison says there will be 6 months oif shutdowns. China is opening up after two months.

Partially. China literally locked every person in Hubei inside for 2 months. But even now, it appears they're going back to a model that's similar to the one we're implementing for many places

Indeed. That's one of the things about Singapore as well - they publicly track every case on a map that goes down to the individual household level. That would probably be unacceptable here no matter the circumstances
