Is it time to test a different population group... community, school perhaps?
For all the commentators in the back calling for 'more coronavirus tests' in Australia
NSW has now conducted 38,000 tests for just 307 positive results
That's <1% true positive rate. ~5,000 tests per million people
WE ARE TESTING A LOT ALREADY #coronavirusaus #COVID2019AU

It's a lot more than I would have thought, from news coverage! Is the testing uniform nationally, does anyone know? As in the criteria and availability of testing?
-
No, varies by state

This article claims such an exposure test, doesn't mention serology. Is it correct?https://twitter.com/MelissaSweetDr/status/1240384489433382912?s=19 …

Where are those figures coming from? Is there a website?

Isn’t it a bit of an issue though that we’re only testing those who have a) just come from OS b) been in contact with a confirmed case? Checking for community transmission would surely be beneficial now? Apologies if I’m not correct, I’m confused.

If you are admitted to hospital with symptoms they will test you, even without known contact. Also has a health professional in a hospital I can get tested if I feel like it (even sans symptoms)
