I am an epidemiologist, but not an infectious disease epidemiologist. The way I see it, I have enough training to retweet & highlight data/advice from the most reliable experts on #COVID19. The rest I leave to the experts.

Wow, I did expect this tweet to be so popular. I wrote it b/c I have been getting lots of questions from family/friends about the pandemic. Important questions that I don’t feel quite qualified to answer. Answers that could have real effects on their lives & others...BUT (1/n)

BUT what I have also seen is a lot of misinformation out there. A lot of bad use of statistics & data. This I do feel comfortable speaking to. This is where I can help. Stay well everyone (2/2)

Yes this is what I feel most comfortable about. I'm not going to make my own models, but I can definitely point out that most of the ones being shared around are terrible
