This is a really good question. I had a quick look at what evidence I could find today. A quick thread...

The only reference I can find to it is a French Minister, with very little detail. And this in the Lancet... https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanres/article/PIIS2213-2600(20)30116-8/fulltext …

This is interesting, putting forward a hypothesis that COVID-19 binds to ACE2, and that increased expression of ACE2 on cells is responsible for worse susceptibility to the virus.

The theory goes that drugs that increase ACE2 expression make people more susceptible to the virus. These include ACE inhibitors, Angiotensin receptor blockers (both used quite widely in raised BP and diabetes)... and anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs)

I can't find anything that has actually compared outcomes though in people using NSAIDs or not using NSAIDs, so we (I) really just don't know.

It's complicated a little by the other theory doing the rounds this morning that indomethacin (an NSAID) has activity against (a different) coronvirus! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17302372/ …

I'll be keeping an eye out on evidence/recommendations, but not changing practice yet. It's a bit of an evidence free zone as far as I can tell.
