I'm just jotting down numbers from the JHU dashboard. The death/case rate in China has been almost bang on 2.5% for a while, but if you add up the other countries it's <0.5% most of the time

Anything's possible, but I'm skeptical of China conspiracy theories. Not much to gain from having a higher death rate, if anything you'd expect to see the reverse

Maybe we're assuming a lot of deaths are influenza and we aren't testing enough for COVID-19?

We are not testing enough in the US to really know.

We are hardly testing at all. Only people who traveled to the areas and have symptoms.
