"The Benefits of Intermittent Fasting" https://nyti.ms/37vaNsV cc @GidMK @YoniFreedhoff
Skeptical re all trends(!), keeping an open mind. Interesting research emerging. But sustainable? Long term benefits/risks? Re weight loss, some data suggest no better than other approaches.

Or just eat less, don't snack and cut the carbs. Much simpler, seems to work for many.

Well, alas, for many it doesn't. Sustained weight loss is tough. As my friend
@YoniFreedhoff says: "What matters most ...is whether or not a person likes their chosen [and healthy] diet enough to sustain it."http://www.weightymatters.ca/2016/09/no-one-diet-works-for-everyone-and.html …6 replies 6 retweets 87 likes
I wrote about the science of IF as well. Systematic reviews = probably no better than other diets long-term, possible benefits short term Also, no one definition of IF, hard to assess!https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/jan/02/intermittent-fasting-is-incredibly-popular-but-is-it-any-better-than-other-diets …
