My personal prediction - Boris will be gone in <2 years, because while he's happy to bluster about a hard Leave, he'll eventually sign a terrible deal with the EU - he basically has to - and suffer predictably in the polls

Everyone is chasing a wonderful happy Brexit that makes the UK great and strong, because that's exactly what Vote Leave sold them, but the reality is that it's an expensive and costly exercise regardless of your views on sovereignty and trade

The real question is how long it'll take Boris et al to switch their narrative from "Brexit is brilliant" to "Brexit is terribly hard now but will be brilliant in 5-10 years"

My prediction is they'll blame Europe, the UN, Lib Dems, Scotland, Ireland etc

They don't really expect the promises to be fulfilled except for one: get the foreigners out. This might actually come to fruition.

Honestly, I doubt that. I suspect there'll be some hand-waving about reducing EU migration and some vague laws passed, but when all's said and done the numbers will barely shift because otherwise the economy will suffer
