Hmm. My expc completely opposite. For me, cutting sugars (and increasing fat) in response to rising blood sugar levels has seen weight drop, blood sugar levels reverse, bp down, and no hunger. I'd be interested to see the 'best evidence' as the guidance I used appears to work.
