This is terrible reporting! There is no ‘human gene for Parkinson’s Disease’. Roundworms can’t be induced to have PD - they barely have a brain!

By jacking up alpha-synuclein through the roof you can, but you are correct - no single gene in humans is associated with it, nor does such over expression represent the reality nor does nematode brain bear any predictive value in such conditions.
