In practical terms, "hyper palatable", "ultra processed", and "energy dense but nutrient poor" all mean roughly the same thing, which is colloquially called "junk food"

Lol, palatability there is, I think, a matter of taste rather than description. It's true that you can get low-energy ultra-processed/palatable food, but that's really the exception that proves the rule (and most people would still call it 'junk')
