well if you define " evidence" as waiting for someone to fund studies that show that low carb and fasting > wieght stabilty due to the change in hunger signals you will be dead first ( we will still be weight stable though) meanwhile you can glory in how any people you put off.

There are literally dozens of such studies, mostly they show that all diets are pretty much equal
