Next up you're going to say it doesn't help epileptics, right? 🦆

Nope, there's good RCT evidence that ketogenic diets can treat epilepsy (particularly childhood) although ofc adherence remains an issue

Many other benefits for gen pop in addition to epilepsy treatment.

There's a difference between a diet being better for you than the Doughnut Only Diet and claiming that it can cure cancer or that carbs cause autism

I've only read studies that it may help certain conditions.

There are some very speculative articles about some conditions, but certainly no good evidence for the majority of things that I've seen other than epilepsy and weight-related disease

You're not looking hard enough. See diabetes 2 and can even help with T1.

There's certainly some evidence for T2DM, although long-term there's not much benefit over other diets. Some hopeful studies in T1, but thus far no good evidence either way

See @virtahealth Look at T1s (even a keto vegan) like @cadiulus or @Type1Berger

Virta doesn't compare to another diet, and honestly I always wonder at people who call a $6,000-a-year program a "diet". As I said, optimism in T1 but that's a far cry from evidence sadly

Oh, sorry that's in AUD. It's around $4,000 USD I believe (based on their website). As to whether Virta is a diet or not, here's the list of inclusions from their website:pic.twitter.com/y2YCLISVWn
