I was reading with interest until the bit about green global socialism and it being a variant of white supremacism. Then for some reason I thought of Malcolm Roberts.
interested to see a concrete example of "international green socialism" where green groups have demanded racial groups forgo economic development (vs say, the completely sane suggestion of a transition to power sources with lower emissions)
Check this twitter conversation for starters, where people are tweeting that Asia and Africa don’t need fossil fuels.
Alright. Sorry to Craig and Annabel, I can see your twitter feeds getting buried with replies. I just don't buy the 'poor people need our fossil fuels' line because it's been debunked many times before. This white supremacist angle is offensive to many.
Yep. As a Jewish person I'd say that saying that those who are pushing for renewables are ideologically equivalent to people who, for example, called for a "final solution" in the Australian parliament is pretty offensive
I would imagine it's also a bit offensive to some of the countries in this area, who are as "developed" as Australia by any measure (i.e. Sth Korea) to imply that they should be ignored as part of a global solution to climate change
