agree. As a rule if you wrote about eg nutrition in a factual way the whole book would be full of "however" "not supported by other studies" "inconsistent findings" and it would be unreadable.

Inconsistent Findings would be a great book title, although probably not a popular one.

It’s a shame, and unfair, to dismiss all popular science books. If they were just a list of facts they would be textbooks. (Although I agree that any facts in pop sci books should be evidence based.)
