This doesn’t measure hyperactivity, it just measures a mother’s ability to be tricked in a study. Messages like yours are biased and harmful. It's probably just an assocoiation, as children get excited when they're going to get treats - or they're at parties where the atmosphere is excitable. (Not that it's good for them - but OK as a treat once in a while).
