That's the fallacy of 'argument from ignorance'. That you didn't know it was a problem, didn't mean it wasn't one.

I had never heard of it before I went down the rabbit hole. In my 58 years, I had never heard of it. No news, no friends, family, or acquaintances ever spoke of it. It was never a "thing." Now that we have a vaccine for it, it's a "thing?" Not buying it.

In the UK it was known as "having a funny tummy". It meant you had runny faecal matter for 2 days. This happened every 2 years or so. You didnt even mention it to the in-laws it was so run-of-the-mill.

The vaccine is saving the NHS £12.5M a year... That’s amazing for preventing “funny tummies”:https://discover.dc.nihr.ac.uk/content/signal-000388/rotavirus-vaccine-estimated-to-have-saved-the-nhs-12-5-million-a-year …

Proper nutrition, judicious supplementation, & good sleep would eliminate the problem entirely, no vaxx needed. Washing the hands after pooping is also a good idea. Getting a jab? Not so much.

Actually what they found was that the vaccine (not a jab) reduced cases by ~77%, that’s a result we’ve seen maintained each season since the introduction in 2013. Nutrition has sod all to do with rotavirus.pic.twitter.com/dTPuQhCz4L

Nutrition addresses susceptibility. The trick isn't to eliminate the bug - it's to eliminate susceptibility to bugs. All bugs.

So the measles outbreak in NYC only occurred in patients who were malnourished?

Very probably, yes. Most people are malnourished. Most foods are criminally deficient these days, and most ppl are eating processed crap. If you're not actively addressing nutrition, U R susceptible. Add up the micronutrients in your daily diet. U R NOT getting enough from food.
