Dunno, I reckon I'd get a bit nauseous eating 3 or 4 potatoes during an hour's cycle (which is similar to what happened in the trial)

Potentially, but honestly I think it's a bit impractical. The test was a 2-hour cycle with either carb gels or potato every 15 minutes - in total, the cyclists ate either 1040 grams of potato or 184 grams of gel
